2023 ram 1500 flagstaff exterior body

When it comes to classic pickup trucks that bear just as much good looks to compliment their powerful performance, the RAM 1500 continues to be a force in the market. Coming in hot and fully redesigned for 2023, Flagstaff truck enthusiasts are going to have a lot to get excited about. With new sporty G/T packages on the Laramie and Rebel, a new rugged BackCountry Edition, not to mention the all-new 10th Anniversary Edition, which ups the ante on the luxurious Limited trim, the 2023 RAM 1500 options are positively endless. Let’s take a deeper dive into what you can expect this upcoming season in the all-new 2023 RAM 1500.

Start Your Engines

This year, it’s all about the powertrains. With the 3.6-liter V-6 Pentastar engine likely coming to an end, the EcoDiesel and Hemi V-8 engines will live on, while the 8-speed automatic transmission won’t see any changes. There will also be a new 3.0-liter inline-6 engine dubbed the Hurricane making its RAM debut. For lower trim level trucks all the way up to the higher trims, we expect to see the new Hurricane engine in both the standard output twin-turbo engine, producing 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque along with a high-output twin-turbo 510, which delivers 510 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque.

Why both? Stellantis, the parent company of RAM, has pledged to reduce its carbon footprint by 50% by 2030, and the new inline-6 engines produce fewer emissions than a V-8 with more power and fuel efficiency.

Luxury Interior Delights

The cabin of the following 2023 RAM 1500 is one of the most spacious in the segment, with ample room for five passengers to sit comfortably. Stepping inside, you’ll find a lavish interior with high-quality materials. You’ll get even more benefits if you choose the higher trim options. This model has a 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen that is exceptionally fast and crisp in terms of information technology. In addition, the RAM 1500 comes standard with vinyl seats, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, and a push-button start.

Exterior Upgrades

The redesign of the 2023 RAM 1500 is well worth the wait if you’re searching for a modern pickup with a cutting-edge style. On the front end, expect a new variety of grilles and changes to the headlight shape. Also, expect more powerful headlights like the BI-Function LED Projector Headlamps making their way down from the top trim Limited as options for lower trims. We expect to see some changes in the rear, like a modified tail lamp design and or slight styling changes. 18-inch steel wheels are also standard, which is a holdover from the previous model. In addition, at 114.5 inches, the coming model has the most extended wheelbase in the class – larger than the Ford F-150 and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, respectively.

The Ram 1500, one of the most attractive and popular pickup trucks in its class, is clearly getting some exciting upgrades for 2023. This model is recognized for having a lot of novelties, sophistication, and elegance. It also boasts one of the light-duty segment’s most technologically sophisticated cabins.
